Conductor/Vocalist/Instrumentalist
Dustin Willetts is one of the most in-demand conductors of the Pacific Northwest, currently directing the Kulshan Chorus, Cantabile Chamber Choir, and the Sno-King Community Chorale. Willetts is the founding director of the Salish Sea Orchestra, and serves as the Director of Worship at Mountain View Presbyterian Church. He is a performing member of Choral Arts Northwest in Seattle, and served on the board of directors of the Seattle Children’s Chorus for over a decade.
As an artistic director, Dustin has received critical praise from around the world as he blurs the lines between various artistic mediums. His performances tell stories and take audiences on a journey. Willetts has received the Whatcom Peace Builder Award as well as the Ken Gass Community Building award for previous projects including “Breaking Silence.”
With a passion for education and lifelong learning, Willetts is a frequent adjudicator and clinician throughout the Pacific Northwest and describes working with youth as, “One of my absolute favorite thing to do!” When not working with choirs and orchestras Dustin can be found performing as an instrumentalist (saxophone, guitar, and percussion) for various shows and sessions. He has conducted in over 20 countries, some favorites being - Norway, China, and Bulgaria. Currently, Dustin is preparing two tours this summer that will visit Greece, Croatia and Slovenia. In those brief still moments between the adventures Dustin is rumored to be found sipping on something brewed while enjoying the beauty of Camano Island.
